Technical SEO

Technical SEO Services That Let Google Find, Read and Rank Your Site

Great content can't rank if Google can't crawl it, load it or tell which page matters. We find the technical problems holding your site back and work with your developer to fix them in the right order.

25 years of SEO · 50,000+ first-page rankings · 5-star Google reviews

Why isn't your content ranking when it should be?

You publish good pages. Your team knows the business. Yet traffic has been flat for months, and some of your best pages don't show up in Google at all. Search Console is full of warnings nobody has time to read, and your developer asks, fairly, "which of these actually matters?"

That's the technical SEO trap. The problems are invisible from the front of the site. A wrong canonical tag, a redirect chain, a blocked folder in robots.txt, or a template that loads slowly on phones can quietly suppress hundreds of pages at once.

Each month it goes unfixed, you pay for content and links that can't do their job. And when a redesign or platform move happens on top of hidden issues, traffic can drop fast and take months to recover.

What does our technical SEO service include?

Our technical SEO service covers crawling, indexing, speed, site structure, structured data and migrations, delivered as prioritized fixes your developer can act on.

Crawl and index review

We crawl your site the way Google does and compare it to what Google has actually indexed, so you know which pages are missing and why.

Site structure and internal linking

We fix orphan pages (pages nothing links to) and deep pages buried five clicks down, so authority flows to the pages that earn money.

Migration and redesign protection

Before a new site launches, we map every old URL to its new home and check the staging site, so you keep the rankings you've earned.

Prioritized fix list

Every issue gets a plain-English explanation, the pages affected and a priority based on revenue impact, so your developer works on what matters first.

Structured data (schema)

We add code that tells Google what your page is about, such as a product, a service, a review or an FAQ, so you can earn richer results and clearer AI answers.

Developer calls

Brian joins calls with your developer to explain fixes and check the work, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Site speed and Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals are Google's measures of how fast a page loads, how quickly it responds and how stable it looks while loading. We find the slow templates and scripts, so pages feel fast on a phone.

Redirects, canonicals and duplicates

We clean up redirect chains, 404 errors and duplicate URLs, so Google spends its time on your real pages.

What happens when technical problems get fixed?

A national pest control company came to us with a site that had good service content but wasn't getting the search visibility it deserved. We rebuilt the foundation and grew from there, tightening how the site was structured, crawled and linked, then built on top of it.

Within 7 months, clicks from Google rose 300% and impressions rose 250%. The pages had been there all along. Once Google could understand them, they started showing up. Read the pest control SEO case study.

Clients in technical industries tend to value this plain approach. Sean G., in manufacturing, left us a 5-star review on Yelp, and Joe K. in B2B sales did the same on Google. More on our reviews page.

How does a technical SEO engagement work?

We audit first, agree on priorities in the first two weeks, fix the biggest issues in months one to three, then monitor and improve every month.

1. Free audit (a few days)

We run a first-pass crawl and show you the top issues we see right away.

2. Strategy (weeks 1–2)

A full technical audit, then a ranked fix list built around your revenue pages and your developer's capacity.

3. Build and optimize (months 1–3)

We work through fixes with your developer, or make them ourselves where we have access, and verify each one.

4. Monthly reporting and growth

We track index coverage, speed scores, crawl errors and rankings, and catch new issues before they spread.

What does technical SEO cost?

Plans start at $950/month, and every plan includes an initial technical audit. Cost goes up with the size of your site, the platform you're on, how many issues we find, and whether we make the fixes or guide your developer. A 40-page service site is a different job from a 30,000-URL store. See the details on our pricing page.

Who runs your technical SEO?

Brian Vastola has worked hands-on in SEO for 25 years, through every major Google change in that time. He runs technical audits himself and joins developer calls, so your developer hears the "why" from the person who found the issue. Our team of 5 specialists handles the follow-through. There's no account manager in the middle.

When will technical SEO fixes show results?

Some fixes show up within weeks, once Google recrawls the page. Wider ranking gains usually build over 3 to 6 months. Here's a realistic picture:

  • Weeks 2–6: Fixed indexing problems (like a page wrongly set to "noindex") can show results as soon as Google recrawls.
  • Months 2–4: Speed, structure and duplicate cleanup start to lift rankings across groups of pages.
  • Months 4–6 and beyond: The site is a stronger base, so content and links work harder. Gains compound from here.

If your main problem is weak content or few links, technical work alone won't fix it. We'll tell you that in the audit.

Technical SEO checklist for your developer

  • Check robots.txt isn't blocking folders you want ranked.
  • Make sure every important page returns a 200 status and has a self-referencing canonical tag.
  • Submit a clean XML sitemap with only indexable pages.
  • Remove redirect chains longer than one hop.
  • Test your top 5 templates on mobile with PageSpeed Insights.
  • Confirm one version of your site loads (https, with or without www, not both).

Mistakes to avoid

Don't chase a perfect speed score at the cost of features that sell. Don't launch a redesign without a redirect map. And don't treat every warning in a tool as urgent. Many are noise.

How to judge a technical SEO provider

Ask for a sample audit. A good one ranks issues by impact and tells you what to do. A bad one is a 90-page export with 400 "errors" and no priorities.

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the work that makes your website easy for search engines to crawl, understand and index. It covers site speed, mobile performance, site structure, redirects, canonical tags, sitemaps, structured data and fixing errors. It doesn't change what your pages say. It makes sure Google can reach those pages and knows which ones matter most.

How much do technical SEO services cost?

Our plans start at $950/month and include an initial technical audit. Larger sites, complex platforms, migrations and hands-on fix work cost more. A one-time deep audit is also available. See our SEO audit page and pricing page for details, or ask for a quote after your free audit.

How long does technical SEO take to show results?

Simple fixes, like removing an accidental noindex tag, can show results within weeks after Google recrawls the page. Broader improvements from speed, structure and duplicate cleanup usually show over 3 to 6 months. Bigger sites take longer because Google needs more time to recrawl them.

Do you make the fixes or just tell us what's wrong?

Both, depending on your setup. If we have access to your CMS, such as WordPress, Shopify or Wix, we make many fixes ourselves. For custom code, we write clear tickets for your developer, join calls to explain them, and check the work once it's live.

What are Core Web Vitals and do they affect rankings?

Core Web Vitals are Google's measures of loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability. Google uses them as part of its page experience signals. They rarely outrank great content on their own, but slow, jumpy pages lose visitors and sales. We fix them for both reasons.

Can you help with a website migration or redesign?

Yes. We map every old URL to its new home, review the staging site before launch, check redirects on launch day and watch rankings and traffic for weeks after. Most traffic losses during a migration come from missing redirects and changed page content, both of which can be caught early.

Does technical SEO matter for AI search?

Yes. AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews rely on content they can access and understand. Pages that are blocked, slow or poorly structured are harder for them to use. Clean structure and schema make your content easier to cite. Our GEO services build on this foundation.
