SEO Audit
SEO Audit Services That Show Exactly What's Holding Your Site Back
When traffic drops or stalls, you need a diagnosis, not a guess. Our full SEO audit checks your technical setup, content, links, local presence and AI visibility, then ranks every fix by how much it's worth to your business.
25 years of SEO · 50,000+ first-page rankings · 5-star Google reviews
Why did your traffic drop, and what do you fix first?
Maybe it happened after the new website launched. Maybe it was a Google update. Maybe it slid slowly while your last agency sent reports full of green arrows. Either way, leads from Google are down and nobody can tell you why in plain English.
Without a real diagnosis, people guess. They rewrite pages that were fine, buy links they don't need, or redesign again. Each guess costs money and time, and some make things worse.
A good audit ends the guessing. It tells you what's broken, what's weak, what's working, and what order to fix it in. The longer you wait, the more ground competitors gain while you spend on the wrong fixes.
What does a full SEO audit cover?
A full SEO audit reviews every part of your site that affects search: technical health, content, on-page setup, links, local presence, AI visibility and competitors. You get a prioritized plan, not just a list of errors.
Technical review
Crawling, indexing, site speed, mobile use, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and structured data, so you know whether Google can reach and read your pages.
Local and Google Business Profile review
For local businesses: profile setup, reviews, citations and map rankings, so you know where you stand in your area.
Competitor comparison
How your top 3 search competitors beat you, page type by page type.
Content and on-page review
Page-by-page checks of titles, headings, intent match, thin or duplicate pages and pages competing with each other, so you know which pages need work.
AI visibility check
Whether tools like ChatGPT and Gemini mention your brand for key questions, so you see your position in AI search.
Ranked action plan
Every fix scored by impact and effort, with who should do it, so your team can start right away.
Backlink review
The quality and risk of the links pointing at your site, compared to competitors, so you know whether authority is the gap.
Traffic drop analysis
If you've lost traffic, we match the drop to dates of site changes and known Google updates, so you know the likely cause.

What can a clear diagnosis lead to?
Every engagement we take on starts with an audit. A household appliance retailer is a good example of why. The store had demand, products and a working site, but traffic and sales had leveled off. The audit showed where pages were underperforming and what to fix first.
Working through that plan, the retailer's monthly revenue grew from $300K to $540K and its daily clicks more than doubled. The audit didn't do that alone, but it pointed every hour of work at the right problem. Read the e-commerce SEO case study.

How does the audit process work?
Start with the free audit, scope the full audit in week one, deliver findings in weeks two to three, then fix and track month by month if you choose to work with us.
1. Free audit (a few days)
Rankings report plus top issues. You decide if you want more.
2. Strategy (weeks 1–2)
We confirm your goals, get access to Search Console and analytics, and run the full review.
3. Build and optimize (months 1–3)
We walk you through findings on a call, then fix issues ourselves or alongside your team.
4. Monthly reporting and growth
We re-check the issues we found and track rankings, traffic and leads.
Free audit vs. full audit: what's the difference?
Our free audit is what new prospects normally get. It's a fast first look: your keyword rankings, top issues we spot right away and the biggest opportunities. It typically takes a few days and costs nothing. A paid, full SEO audit is for deeper engagements. It's a deep review of every area above, with a walk-through call and a written fix plan. It fits best when you're chasing a traffic drop, running a large site or many locations, or planning a migration. Most people start free, then decide if they need the full picture.
What does an SEO audit cost?
The free audit costs nothing. A paid, full SEO audit is quoted after the free audit, based on your site's size, how many locations you have, whether you're diagnosing a traffic drop, and how complex your platform is. A 30-page site and a 20,000-page store are very different audits. If you choose ongoing SEO, an initial technical audit is included in every plan, and plans start at $950/month. See the pricing page for plan details.
Who audits your site?
Brian Vastola runs audits himself. After 25 years of hands-on SEO, he can usually tell the difference between a real problem and tool noise quickly, and that judgment is what you're paying for. Our senior specialists help with data gathering. Brian then walks you, and your developer if you like, through the findings on a call.
What happens after the audit?
The audit itself takes about two to three weeks. Results come from the fixes:
- Weeks 2–6 after fixes: Critical issues, such as blocked pages or broken redirects, can recover quickly once Google recrawls.
- Months 2–4: On-page and structural fixes start to lift rankings across groups of pages.
- Months 4–12: Content and link work from the plan builds lasting gains.
If an audit shows your site is in good shape and the gap is simply competition, we'll say so. That's useful to know too.
Signs you need a full SEO audit
- Organic traffic fell more than you can explain by season.
- You launched a new site or moved platforms in the last year.
- Pages you care about don't appear in Google at all.
- You've paid for SEO for 6+ months and can't say what changed.
- A competitor passed you and you don't know why.
Mistakes to avoid
Don't trust an audit that's only a tool export. Tools flag hundreds of minor items, and most don't matter. Don't fix things in the order a tool lists them. And don't let anyone make site-wide changes before they've found the cause.
How to judge an audit provider
Ask who actually reviews the data, whether findings are ranked by business impact, and whether you'll get a walk-through call. Ask for a sample. A good audit fits in a short summary you can act on.
What is an SEO audit?
An SEO audit is a review of everything that affects how your website performs in search. It covers technical health, content, on-page setup, backlinks, local presence and competitors. A good audit doesn't just list problems. It ranks them by impact and gives you a clear plan for what to fix first.
How much does an SEO audit cost?
Our free audit costs nothing. A paid, full SEO audit is quoted after the free audit, based on site size, number of locations, platform and whether we're diagnosing a traffic drop. If you choose an ongoing plan, an initial technical audit is included, and plans start at $950/month.
What's included in the free SEO audit?
The free audit includes a keyword rankings report and a review of the top issues and opportunities we see on your site. It's a fast first look, not the full review, and it typically takes a few days. You'll know where you rank today, what's most obviously holding you back, and whether a deeper audit makes sense.
What's the difference between your free audit and a paid full audit?
The free audit is a quick first look, and the paid full audit is a deep review. The free audit is what most new prospects get. It typically takes a few days and covers your keyword rankings, top issues and biggest opportunities. The paid full audit reviews technical health, content, links, local presence, AI visibility and competitors, with a walk-through call and a ranked fix plan. It suits deeper engagements, like traffic drops or large sites.
How long does a full SEO audit take?
Most full audits take two to three weeks from access to walk-through call. Large sites, multi-location businesses and traffic drop investigations can take longer. We'll give you a firm timeline once we see your site size and goals.
Can an audit tell me why my traffic dropped?
Usually, yes. We compare the timing of the drop with your site changes, Google's announced updates, and which pages and keywords lost traffic. That pattern almost always points to the cause, whether it's a technical error, a content issue or a competitor gaining ground.
Do I need Search Console access for an audit?
For a full audit, yes. Google Search Console and analytics data show what Google actually indexes and where your traffic comes from. Read-only access is enough. The free audit works without it, using outside data.
Will you fix the issues the audit finds?
If you want us to. Many clients have us handle the fixes as part of an ongoing plan. Others give the plan to their in-house team or developer. Either way, the audit is written so anyone competent can act on it.
