Why haven't the backlinks you bought helped?
You've seen the emails. "100 high-DA backlinks for $299." Maybe you tried one. Your link count went up, a tool showed a nice green arrow, and your rankings barely moved. Or they jumped for a few weeks and then fell back.
That's because most cheap links come from sites built only to sell links. Google has spent years learning to spot them. At best, it ignores them and you've wasted the money. At worst, your site gets hit with a manual action (a penalty applied by a Google reviewer) and loses traffic it took years to build.
Meanwhile, your competitors with real press mentions, supplier links and local sponsorships keep pulling ahead. Links are still one of the clearest signals of trust on the web. The question isn't whether you need them. It's whether you get them in a way that lasts.
What does white-hat link building include?
White-hat link building means earning links through real relationships, real content and real news, within Google's rules. Here's what our service delivers.
Digital PR
We turn your data, expertise or a timely story into something journalists and bloggers want to cover, so you earn links and brand mentions from real publications.
Partner and supplier links
We find the businesses you already work with, such as suppliers, manufacturers, associations and clients, and secure the links you've already earned.
Link profile review and cleanup
We check your existing backlinks for risky patterns and advise on what to fix, so old mistakes stop holding you back.
Reporter and expert outreach
We respond to journalists' requests for expert sources on your behalf, with quotes you approve, so you get cited as an authority in your field.
Unlinked brand mentions
When a site mentions your business but doesn't link, we ask for the link, so existing goodwill turns into authority.
Citations and directories
We build and clean up listings on the business directories and industry sites that matter in your space, so your details are consistent and trusted.
Linkable content
We help create guides, tools or data pages worth linking to, so links keep coming without constant outreach.

What does safe link building look like in a hard niche?
Link building is hardest in industries many sites won't link to. A California cannabis e-commerce brand is a good example. Many mainstream publications and ad networks won't touch the category, and shortcuts are everywhere.
We built authority the slow, safe way: industry publications, real partner relationships, useful content and clean citations, alongside on-site work. Within 12 months, organic clicks tripled, sales grew 50%, and the brand reached the first page for hundreds of key terms. Read the cannabis SEO case study.
We practice what we pitch. Our own team's expertise has been featured in the GoDaddy Blog, Housecall Pro, SEOptimer, Editorial.link, HVAC Publication, Electrical Trends and AthleTech News. Joe K., in B2B sales, is one of the clients who has left us a 5-star Google review. More on our reviews page.

How does our link building process work?
We review your current links and competitors, build a target list in the first two weeks, start outreach in month one, then report every link we earn each month.
1. Free audit (a few days)
We compare your link profile to your top competitors and flag any risky links.
2. Strategy (weeks 1–2)
We pick the pages that need authority most and build a list of real targets: publications, partners, directories and story angles.
3. Build and optimize (months 1–3)
Citations and partner links come first, since they're fastest. PR and outreach campaigns launch in parallel.
4. Monthly reporting and growth
You see every link and citation we earned, where it points, and how those pages are ranking.
How much does link building cost?
Plans start at $950/month, which includes 10 backlinks and citations a month. Higher plans include 30, 50+, 100+ or 150+ a month. Price depends on your industry, how strong your competitors' link profiles are, and how much PR and content work it takes to earn links in your space. A niche B2B brand needs a different mix than a national store. Compare plans on our pricing page.
Who builds your links?
Brian Vastola has 25 years of SEO behind him, which means he's watched every link shortcut rise and get crushed by Google. He sets your link strategy and approves the targets. Our senior team does outreach in our own name, with real emails to real people. We don't resell links from an overseas vendor you'll never meet.
How long does link building take to work?
Links usually take 2 to 6 months to show their full effect on rankings. Here's what's realistic:
- Months 1–2: Citations and partner links go live. Local and brand searches often improve first.
- Months 3–6: PR and outreach links build up. Pages we're pointing links at start to climb for competitive terms.
- Months 6–12: Your authority compounds. New pages rank faster because the whole domain is stronger.
Digital PR can be lumpy. One campaign may earn 2 links, the next 20. We report honestly either way.
Why we refuse PBNs and paid link schemes
A PBN (private blog network) is a group of websites built or bought only to link to clients. Paid link schemes sell links on sites that exist to sell links. Google's spam policies name buying links for ranking as link spam. Even when they work for a while, you're renting rankings that can vanish overnight, often with a penalty attached. We won't build your business on that, and we'll tell you if your current links look like it.
How to spot a bad link offer
- It promises a set number of "high DA" links for a flat low price.
- It won't tell you which sites before the links go live.
- The sites have no real readers, publish on every topic, or list "write for us" prices.
- It guarantees rankings.
How to judge a link building provider
Ask for 5 examples of links they've earned for clients, and why each site linked. Real link builders have stories. Link sellers have spreadsheets.
What is white-hat link building?
White-hat link building means earning links to your website in ways that follow Google's guidelines. That includes digital PR, being quoted as an expert, partner and supplier links, quality directories, and content that people link to naturally. It avoids buying links, link networks and automated schemes that Google treats as spam.
How much do link building services cost?
Our plans start at $950/month with 10 backlinks and citations per month. Traction includes 30, Growth 50+, Expand 100+ and Aggressive 150+. Cost depends on your industry, your competitors' links and how much PR work is needed. Links are part of a full SEO plan, not sold alone.
How long does link building take to improve rankings?
Most clients see effects in 2 to 6 months. Citations and partner links tend to help first, often with local and brand searches. PR links take longer to earn but usually carry more weight. The full benefit builds over 6 to 12 months as authority adds up.
Why don't you use PBNs?
Private blog networks exist only to pass links, and Google's spam policies treat links made to manipulate rankings as link spam. PBN links can work briefly, then lose value or bring a penalty. We'd rather earn fewer links that last than sell you a risk that can wipe out years of progress.
Can bad backlinks hurt my site?
Usually Google just ignores spammy links. But a pattern of bought or manipulative links can lead to a manual action, which can sharply cut your traffic. We review your link profile in the audit. If we see real risk, we'll explain the options, including cleanup and, where it makes sense, a disavow file.
What is digital PR?
Digital PR is getting your business covered by online publications, news sites and blogs, the same way traditional PR works, but with links as one of the goals. It might be a data study, an expert comment on a news story or a useful guide. Good digital PR builds links and brand awareness at the same time.
Do links matter for AI search?
Yes, in a related way. AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini lean on sources and brands that are widely mentioned and trusted around the web. Being covered by real publications and cited by industry sites helps your brand get named in AI answers. That's why our PR work supports our GEO services.
Will I know which links you built?
Yes, every one. Your monthly report lists each link and citation: the site, the page it's on and the page it points to. No hidden networks and no mystery links. If you ever ask why a site linked to you, we'll have the answer.
